June 05, 2007 (Fairfax, Virginia) | Sharon D. Nelson, Esq. and John W. Simek, Corporate Officers of Sensei Enterprises, will debut their “Digital Abuse of Women: How to Combat Spyware, Cyber Stalking, Cyber Bullying and Cyber Harassment” seminar at The Women’s Center, a Vienna, Virginia-based non-profit organization which is a counseling, education and information resource that provides psychological, career, financial and legal services to women and families regardless of ability to pay. Sensei, a Fairfax, Virginia-based computer forensics and technology firm, has long been a proactive and passionate advocate of charities and non-profits that provide the general public of all socio-economic strata equal access to law and legal resources.
Sensei President Ms. Nelson states, “The Women’s Center mission is in line with our belief that all folks should have equal access to the law. Through Sensei, John and I have long supported causes helping to bridge the access of law and legal resources, as can be seen in our ongoing support of numerous organizations and events, including the Fairfax Law Foundation and its annual event, Jazz 4 Justice, which helps raise monies to deliver legal services to the working poor.” Ms. Nelson adds, “By helping to educate women—often the victims of cyber crimes including cyber harassment, cyber bullying and cyber stalking—Sensei continues its tradition of informing citizens of their access to legal channels and related services to aid them in their time of need.”
Bonnie Rabichow, Educational Programs Manager for The Women’s Center, is very excited to have Sensei offer this type of workshop. “Traditionally, The Women’s Center has always offered numerous educational workshops and informative seminars dealing with matters pertaining to divorce, such as ‘Legal Aspects of Separation & Divorce’ or ‘Child Custody Issues Related to Divorce’ and the like. However,” Rabichow states, “we’ve never had the ability to offer such a timely, relevant and real-world workshop as Sensei’s ‘Digital Abuse of Women.’ This kind of workshop, covering extremely important topics such as how to identify when a spouse has placed spyware on their computers, will not only augment our traditional divorce-related training seminars but also provide a unique, dynamic forum most women can relate to.”
Sensei Principals Ms. Nelson and Mr. Simek will be presenting their 2-hour “Digital Abuse of Women” workshop on September 20, 2007 from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. at The Women’s Center Vienna, Virginia location. The workshop will consist of an informative presentation with an unlimited Q&A session. The registration fee for the seminar (fee has yet to be determined) is paid directly to The Women’s Center as the Center uses any revenues generated from its workshops to provide services to local women in need.
