Sensei President Elected to Virginia State Bar Council

Council’s Mission Allows Sensei to Make Significant Contributions to Virginia’s Legal Profession

May 24, 2007 (Fairfax, Virginia) | Sharon D. Nelson, Esq., President of Sensei Enterprises, a Fairfax, Virginia-based computer forensics and technology firm, has been elected to the Virginia State Bar (VSB) Council, a VSB governing body whose members are elected or appointed from every judicial circuit in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Ms. Nelson is grateful for the honor, particularly as this honor comes as a result of being elected by her colleagues. She notes, “The recognition by my peers is both wonderful and humbling – now I have to prove myself worthy of their confidence by serving well over the next three years. There is much to learn and do, but I hope in particular to continue the drive toward reform of our judicial selection process, so that the independence of our judiciary – currently in jeopardy – is safeguarded in the future.”

ABOUT THE BEGINNING VIRGINIA STATE BAR
Since 1938, the Virginia State Bar has been responsible for the regulation of the legal profession, protection of the public from lawyer misconduct and support for the rule of law. Through its staff and hundreds of lawyer and lay volunteers, the state bar works to serve lawyers and the public. We provide lawyers with support to better practice their profession, encourage service to our institutions of justice and improve access to that system for all Virginians.
