Sharon D. Nelson, Esq.
Marketing and Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Ms. Nelson graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in 1978 and has been in private practice ever since. Although her primary practice area is electronic evidence law, she has developed extensive knowledge and experience in the area of marketing, particularly electronic marketing, relationship marketing through the use of blogs and e-mail newsletters, website promotion, and search engine optimization (SEO).
Ms. Nelson is the past President of the Fairfax Bar Association, a Director of the Fairfax Law Foundation, and past chair of the American Bar Association’s TECHSHOW Board. She is the former chair of the ABA Law Practice Management Publications Board and currently serves on the Governing Council of the ABA's Law Practice Management Section. She is a member of ARMA's E-Discovery Advisory Board, the ABA's Advisory Panel, the governing Council of the Virginia State Bar, and a graduate of Leadership Fairfax.
Ms. Nelson also serves as chair of the Virginia State Bar Unauthorized Practice of Law Commitee, and is a member Bar Technology Committee. She is also a member of the Planning Board of the Pacific Legal Technology Conference, the American Bar Association (ABA), the Virginia Bar, the Virginia Bar Association, Fairfax Bar Association, the Virginia Women's Attorney Association, and Women in Technology.
In addition to her many professional affiliations, Ms. Nelson is the co-host of The Digital Edge: Lawyers and Technology, a popular ABA podcast series. She is also the author of Ride the Lightning, an ongoing electronic evidence blog, and the co-author of six books:
The Electronic Evidence and Discovery Handbook: Forms, Checklists and Guidelines (ABA, 2006);
Information Security for Lawyers and Law Firms (ABA, 2006); The 2008, 2009, and 2010 Solo and Small Firm Legal Technology Guides, published by the ABA; and How Good Lawyers Survive Bad Times (ABA, 2009).
Deborah A. Knapp
Marketing Coordinator
Deborah Knapp comes to Sensei from Memphis, Tennessee and has a military background with the U.S. Air Force. She assists with all marketing, administrative, and logistical functions, has completed coursework in Marketing at Northern Virginia Community College, and also serves as our front desk receptionist.
Evan D. Rosa
Marketing and Website Development
Evan Rosa is the Business Development and Marketing Director at Sensei Enterprises, Inc. He brings an extensive knowledge of Web 2.0 marketing and analysis as well as graphic design experience to Sensei Enterprises, Inc.
Mr. Rosa holds a degree in Marketing Communications with a minor in Advertising from Western New England College. He began his career as an intern with the Greater Springfield Conventions and Visitors Bureau in Massachusetts working with the promotion and expansion of tourist activities in Western Massachusetts. He has also worked in print and online media for the Washington Examiner where he developed marketing collateral, websites, and B2B sales materials.
Mark B. Samaan
Videographer
Mark B. Samaan is the Founder and Creative Director of Bright Light Multimedia, a media service provider that focuses on video development, production, and media conversion in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. He has worked with several organizations including Sensei Enterprises, Little Flock Christian School, and Mission Life Center.
Mark is currently a third-year student at the University of Virginia, pursuing a degree in Commerce with concentrations in Information Technology and Management, and a minor in Media and Film Studies. Mark has a strong passion for creating videos and products that bring a story to life, whether it be for an organization or an individual.
